Hi. I just bought a leo vince exhaust and I have been trying to install it on my bike the best way. However I have several questions:

1. It came with a round metal sheet with several holes. What is it for??? In the only place it fits is in the hole where the can joins the mid pipe.

2. Does your Leo Vince pipes touch the subframe?? Mine gets very close to it. It barely touches it.

3. How far the mid pipe must be from the lower plastic cover??? I m worried It would melt.

Thanks a lot

If you look under the tail end of the can, you'll see a small rubber plug. Pull that out and you'll find a small allen headed bolt sitting inside the hole. This holds the baffle (DB killer) in situ. Yours should have been supplied with two baffles, one with a turned down tip and the other which sits flush with the end of the can. Taking this bolt out will allow you to pull the DB killer out so you can swap to the one or run the can open. As far as it sitting too close to what I assume to be the lower heat shield (that sits in front of the pillion footrest mount), you should be able to make enough clearance by moving the mounting strap along the body of the can a little before tightening everything up. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks Mikey!!! I have clear all about the db killers or baffles that go into the tip. But there is another kind-of-dbkiller. It is round sheet of metal with several holes. It is like big washer but not with one hole but 5 or 6 holes about 3/8´´ diameter. It only fits in the bottom hole of the can. I tried it on already and it makes the sound lower but rattling.

I have no idea as to what the big disc with holes might be, as nothing like that was included in the packaging, when I got mine home. The only thing I can think of is that it may be a piece of the pipes internals that's fallen out. However, given that the LeoVince is a straight through/ non-baffled design, it seems unlikely. Maybe take a photo of the offending article and e-mail it to LeoVince and see if they have any clue?
