Has anyone seen or used this? The AX10 LCD insert. According to website it applies to the inside of the clear visor and with the push of a button darkens to tint or goes back to clear. Can be set manually or in automatic mode with light sensor. I first heard about this from a salesperson at my local dealer. She said she would never ride without it. She said the charge would last about 8 hours and when the battery dies the visor defaults to clear.

I suffer with squinting in bright light which can vary especially at this time of the year

I'm assuming that this product will substitute a 'Pin Lock' anti-fogging application

Looks good to me ::008::

This doesn't seem to be available in the U.K yet ::007::

its kinda a cool idea, echo_four_romeo, but 8 hour battery life is not gonna cut it
for those who get out of the city into the wilderness... for days and weeks.....
USB rechargeable, I guess you can charge it for the first (or last) hours of your ride, use during the the "bright" hours.

It's been brought up in the past but it's gotten some pretty poor reviews. Basically, it either dies too quickly, breaks quickly, or just doesn't work right.

Check the reviews:

I use a Bell Transitions lens visor which has worked out well up until a couple months ago where it doesn't go as dark as it used to. IIRC, there's a lifespan on Transitions visors. They're awesome when new but just don't get so dark later in their life.

::026:: on the flip / drop down visor, I'll never buy a helmet without one again, also means I can ride with my visor up (most of the time) and not have bugs smacking me in the face and eyes...

::026:: I have the Shoei GT Air, and will never go back to a helmet without an internal sunshield!

I had a Schuberth C3 flip front helmet with a drop down visor, it wasn't great and became scratched so I wouldn't go down that route again

I now have three visors for my Arai Tour X-4, one clear, one tinted and a third dark...its an expensive way of providing me with the required protection :)
