Hi folks. Sorry if this has been asked before. Are the Mitas tyres any good? Im currently using Metzeler tyres but i notice the Mitas ones are cheaper. I only use my bike on the road. Cheers for any info/advice.

If only "on road", why run a 50/50 or 80/20?
Just curious.

Lots of praise for the Mitas around here. But usually in the context of the K60's. (Guys looking for Adventure Tires)

On pure tarmac, I'd want the best street tires. (whatever that means. )

you will be wasting good grip if you use these on road.
They work well enough, but don't give the kind of grip a outright street tire would.
Try the metzeler next. I'm on set now, and quite happy with it. It does ok on the occasional muddy track, but go slow.

Yeah if I was riding strictly on-road, I'd go with one of the more street oriented tires. I actually found the stock Battlewings to work really well. Of course going after-market it would depend on what you do more of. I'm not a long distance rider, so for me I want a tire that grips really well in the corners as opposed to a tire that would give me okay mid-corner traction in favor of mileage...
