Mitas tires are 20% off at Twisted Throttle. I ordered some E07's this morning. Merry Christmas to me! ::016::
Original post = E07's. I got the Dakar's, $247 front and rear. Shipping is free and I already received an email that they're shipped. Good service!RoboCop said:Did you get the e07's? What did you pay for them?

That's a great buy!SilverBullet said:So it gets even better. After my order shipped they emailed me and posted 1,468 Twisted reward points to my account which equals $14.68 off any order. So I ordered another E-09 Dakar for $52, still enough to get free shipping and after $14.68 off get a 4th tire for only $37. Christmas came early this year.

Hey Bullet, that's a great buy. After your recommendation, I put on a set of E-07 Dakar's and am really happy with the rear. The front not so much as I find it pretty sketchy on dirt and gravel. Aired down it does much better, but still not as confidence inspiring as a knobby. So I too was thinking of trying the E-09 on the front at the next swap. I'm curious to see how you like the combo and if the E-09 wears better than the Shinko 805 we ran this past summer in Colorado.SilverBullet said:Some are much more than 20% off. The Mitas E-09 Dakar front tire for our bikes is only $52 shipped to my door!! Probably an error but I ordered 3 of them this morning and they have already accepted order and shipped out to me. I should be set for most of 2016 riding now since I just put a new E-07 front on last month. I'm sure the E-09 wont last as long as an E-07 or E-10 but for only $52 I'll be perfectly happy changing out a little more often. And looking forward to the improved dirt performance.
Will let you know. I'm thinking to remove my nearly new front E-07 now and save it for a long trip later this year where I'll need the mileage. If so I'll spoon on an E-09 next month after the holidays and try it in the dirt and start guaging tread life also.Roosterman said:...So I too was thinking of trying the E-09 on the front at the next swap. The E-09 front looks nice. Same as you I think, I ran 2 fronts and 2 rear's in the Shinko 805's. I'm still kinda on the fence about them. They wore decent for a knobby, and once aired down to about 30 lbs they do well in the dirt, but yeah, they are too soft for rocks and will undoubtedly result in eventual rim damage. I think we got lucky in Colorado.SilverBullet said:Will let you know. I'm thinking to remove my nearly new front E-07 now and save it for a long trip later this year where I'll need the mileage. I don't care if it performs and wears better than the Shinko 804 as this is a stiff sidewall tire. I'm done with Shinko rim damage even keeping 30-32 psi off road and don't feel safe riding pavement at high speed. Beads pop too dang easy. Remember my flat on RR335 where the bead popped at speed? Scary shit for me, I was lucky not to go down.
Yes it is but I'm not expecting great treadlife for the E-09's. Super low price convinced me to buy or else I would've bought just one E-10 Dakar. Small'ish knobs, heavy bike and hard braking can eat them up quick. I'm expecting 5,000 miles but hoping for more.carrot said:That's a lot of tires ::008::
