My Tourance Next rear tire only got 7,200 miles on it with about half the wear bars even w/tread so could maybe squeeze a few more easy miles out of them... possibly to 8k but not without worrying the entire time.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and try these... they don't come in our EXACT sizes but I've done the calculations and this combo should work:
Rear 160/70B-17 (73V) .49 in taller than oem
Front 120/70ZR-19 (60W) .32 in taller than oem

Speed rating is good and weight rating is even for a heavier bike.

The size difference is small enough it shouldn't cause any ABS codes to be thrown. There's enough clearance on the rear the brake caliper bar should still be good.

I wish I rode enough to give a good mileage report but it may be 6 months before I can report anything positive or negative that isn't an instant issue.

They'll be here Wed from https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com and $315 for the set.

Not sure if I'll hit the numbers on the Michelin site (http://motorcycle.michelinman.com/US/en/tires/products/commander-ii.html#) but even 20k from a rear tire would be nice. These are street tires so not something everyone here might care for.

I use Commander 2 tires on my cruiser and I easily get 30,000 miles from a set. But they are a very hard compound and are quite easy to spin, and almost dangerous on wet pavement. My cruiser is 900 lbs and low power and I'm old and slow anyway so I haven't had a crash but plenty of pucker moments on wet roads and/or tar snakes and painted lines.
Be careful...............

Thanks, good to know... they were on back order so I just grabbed a rear Anakee 3 to try, those worked well on the vstrom and haven't tried on the S10 yet.

The Commander II is a very good tire. Dunlop has been my best selling tire since back in the early 70's and for the last three years I've sold 20 CII's for every one Dunlop. Like gv550 said, they are a harder compound and that has to be taken into consideration.
