Meter Assembly Option?

Hi everyone
Not sure to be in the right section. Reside on a Caribbean Island and own a Super Tenere 2015 1200ES and my Meter Assembly screen is "sun burned". Need to replace it and could buy one online without too much problem but was wondering if there was any other option available other than the OEM one?
Because of the share sun glare here I have a hard time seeing the details in the afternoon and at night it does not lit up which make it even worst.
Any idea for a retrofit option of previous years that could be "plug and play" so to speak?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Didier

I'd get another OEM but this time fabricate a sunshade so the sun doesn't burn that one out. Easily made with some plastic. I have an old Goldwing with one on it as it came stock. It will give you an idea to go from if you need an idea. Let me know and I can take a picture of it.

The top screen is replaceable, not cheap at $200 but less than a new complete meter.
Yes Gary. I do understand that but looking closely to the dash it looks like the inner part of the dash (not sure what it is made of) that has turned black, not the front glass/plexiglass part. So unfortunately I think I will have no choice but to replace the whole thing. Thanks for the input though.

I don't think any practical alternative panel considering the need to control things like the ES settings. Maybe used on eBay?

I hear you! Will get a new one, bite the bullet and find a way to protect both Windscreen and Dash at the same time.
Thank you all for your input!

I Jeff. Thanks for that. I actually created a sleeve to cover my Windscreen and dashboard since I am riding without gloves (Caribbean riding)..I know a bit stupid!..but so nice!
I took a picture of it. My mum saw it for me (91 years old)...works perfectly.
Need to figure out now f the top part assembly to see if is what is burned up or if it is deeper...so one last question, do you know how the top assembly come off? Is it just the 4 screws? or is there something or some where else I should be looking for to take it out?

There is a video in the forum, where the color of the dashboard was changed (changing the plexiglass)……the big problem is “how to find that thread”?

So cool thanks! Super helpful! I believe it is what it takes off first that is burned! which would save me a LARGE BUNDLE!

Anyone out there to find back that tread...definitely need to peel off my old film which is clear looking at this video that this is what is burned and not my entire meter assembly!
Would appreciate any help...virtually impossible to find anything here.

Maybe what burned is that glass sheet, which apparently has a replacement (probably by expert hands the replacement will be safe)...but if it burned, it probably did not have UV protection, which maybe is what you should do (including the windshield)…place a transparent sheet with a UV filter
The video looks extremely instructive, if you get the sheet, surely where you live there is someone who is an expert in this type of replacement (or try it yourself "crossing your fingers"):)
