Anyone else had an issue where the menu trigger on left grip stopped working to toggle between info and heated grips? My 2017 Tenere started doing this yesterday. It will still work when held in for a couple of seconds to get me into the "setup" for the various menu items, but I cannot bring up my heated grips to turn them on or off. Thoughts?

Assuming it's on menu and you can't select grips, this usually means one of the grips has lost continuity. Most common reason is a broken wire on the throttle side where the grip rotates inside the throttle tube housing.

Less common is the heating element dies or one of the plugs comes loose.

Thanks Eric. Where would the "plugs" be located so I can check them for looseness? I'm trying to check what I can before having to resort to taking it into the dealership.

Can you switch to any of the other screens or is only the heated grips screen missing?
As I recall, all that my menu trigger did previously was to toggle between the "info" screens (trip meters, temp, fuel range, etc.) and heated grips. I can still use the up/down buttons to toggle through the 3 info screens, but cannot access heated grips in any way. Is that what you're asking?

Certainly sounds like the heated grips are the culprit then. The plugs for the Gen II bikes are gray two wire plugs usually located on the left side under the quick release panel, above or in front of the battery area.

If you search for heated grip threads here you should find some pictures of them.

Yep, same thing happened to me and as Eric said, it was my heated grips. I replaced the grips (under extended warranty) and all works fine now. -JEP-

Eric, thanks for that guidance...I searched and found this thread with lots of pics. Looks like in his case the plugs were on the right side? Are these the plugs/connectors you were referring to? https://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?threads/heated-grips.12680/page-8#post-353895
