"street" to most of us, includes at least some (and perhaps many) roads that are in really terrible condition. Potholes, cold patch, gravel, scattered rocks, sand/cinders/grit left from the prior winter, deep puddles, greasy mud, tar snakes, combinations of all these things.

And those are the GOOD roads in SE Michigan. Fortunately for the majority of Americans, this is not the case. Michigan needs a LOT more of those "Bama Bucks" to solve it's road issues. It's my (and many Michiganians/Michiganders) opinion that the roads there are among the worst in the nation.

It's unfortunate that you have to buy an on/off-road vehicle in order to handle the roads in one of the largest cities in America. To me, street riding is a place where you have a tire repair kit on board that you really don't need.
