I did an install of one of these on a friends V Max, he told me it is the best farkle he ever added. I just bought the generic fit kit, although I had to drill and tap the thermostat housing to insert the water temp probe. These things are pretty damn robust too, I added one of the non GPS units to my Ural and it gets thrashed around a lot with no complaints from it. The Mod on the S10 looks great.

I dig it. What did you attach the display to?

Iron-

It also comes with this bar mount and if someone wanted on the bars (or just behind) the install is all but two minutes..

Happy to report there are no issues with the magnet pick up. No funny ABS lights with the bike, and the trail tech works flawless. Its very interesting to see the difference in actual (trail tech) speedo and the Yamaha dash speedo. Also you can see side by side engine temps. The GPS, ambient temp, battery voltage, compass, speedo are so nice to have just by looking on one screen. After the first ride, I find this piece of equipment is even more useful and awesome than could have imagined ! More to come ! ::008::

Question: I notices in the initial post that you had to drill and tap the ABS cover to install the sensor. When your S10 kit is available will permanent mods like that ve required to install the kit??

Probably not... it has the option to use sticky tape in the same location or someone could install it on the back side.. I wanted to have the strongest connection so I chose to tap it. They also offer about 10 or so other options that someone could probably request for many applications. As an initial experiment I chose this one. I've been using this unit now for about two weeks and its outstanding. It was built for more off road 'back woods' GPS and performs flawless. Its also great to have many of the other features along with the corrected speedo speed. Great product.
