Max fork travel ?

Hello, I searched for this but couldnt find it. Im building a crash bar skid plate assembly and wondered if anyone knew the maximum real world travel distance of the front forks, measured on the lower fork leg. Ive had it cinched down to about 3.5" (purple line on fork leg) from bottom. I have it apart so i cant go ride it and ride it to figure it out. Hoping someone had a quick and dirty number where the seal has never went past, thats all i need. Will post up some pics when done. THANKS ! Brian

I believe max travel is 7.5" or 190mm, most have achieved 6.5".

Thank you. I assume thats from max extension, since "at rest" would not be an accurate base number.

I've had the zip tie around my fork to within a half inch of the bottom clamp.
