Hello
I received a Madstad windshield bracket yesterday and installed it today.
As I bought a VStream touring windshield, I previously adjusted it at the lowest position with the std Yamagha gen 2 bracket.
I should have bought a lower windshield than the 24 inch tall I bought.
Is it normal with the madstad bracket settled at the lowest position, the windshield is positioned higher than it was with the stock Yamaha bracket ?
With the Madstad settled at the lowest position and fully tilted, I don't see over the windshield like it was with the Yam bracket .
Thanks

The Madstad raise the windshield about 1-1/2 in at the lowest position so I will not use it because I have the Stream windshield over my eyes. I shimmed the original bracket to tilt the windshield as I want. I now sell it here in the ads section . Thanks

I drilled some holes in the Vstream windshield and lowered it down. Easy to drill with a step drill. Measure three times and drill once.

Sorry but I was not interested to have unused holes on the windshield even if I can use little caps to hide them. Shimming the two lower bracket holes with 4 little faucet hard rubber washers to tilt the windshield works very well. I just had to buy longer bolts. I also added two rubber washers on the two lower windshield holes. For best view with the VStream touring I have to place the seat at high position. Anyway I feel better seated with the seat placed at high position with the new seat leveling shims. Next step should be to buy two little plastic wings which bolt on the bike near the windshield but I'm not really sure it's doing a big difference with wind protection. As is now this is a big step compared with the stock windshield not tilted. As My last bike was a BMW R1200Rt witch had great wind protection. I can now say that I reached good results with the ST as it is now.

I have that same setup...Got tired of looking thru the top couple inches of shield so I took some painters tape and masked off about 3 inches of my shield.
Grabbed my jig saw and put a fine tooth steel blade and followed the sharpie line I layed out..After cutting the shield I grabbed my small air grinder with a sanding disc and rounded the edge like it came. Works perfect and looks factory
