No rain here in almost 2 months. On the plus side, it's also too hot for bugs. Haven't had to clean my visor in over 2 weeks.

very little on my car either . but when they do they are the big juicy ones.

I've learned that the yellow splats need to be cleaned off asap. If not, they almost bake on to the glass. Even if they have Rain-X on them.

the brutal heat has mitigated a couple of degrees to just abusive heat , the mornings are trending to very pleasant but by 11am its starting to get harsh . and powder dry , surprised the state hasn't burned to the ground .

Well, the careless cigarette smokers are doing their best to make that happen by chunking their butts out the window going down the road(s). Counted 6 separate spots on a 3 mile stretch the other day. And they caught some kids out on a county road throwing firecrackers out the window going down the road.

nothing new happening here .... its not blazing hot anymore , but free time to play has seemingly vanished . and actually getting some rain , at least that's different .

finally something new to talk about .... I sold my Beta 300rr race today.

Well. That was random and out of the blue.

so it seems ... I've been discussing with my wife and my main riding buddy if I should sell. I have not had it outside or ridden it in a year . one of my other buddies made me an offer and I excepted . so the deal is done , my dirt bike days are done , almost 5 years of fun , only hurt myself 2 times , one knee and one back . all my fault when I go
t a bit cocky .
the good news is my neighbor ,AKA " Trailboss" is the new owner . he is going to use the bike in the Texas Off Road Championship Series or TORCS . an enduro slash motocross hybrid race in Texas, and I will be at the races with him . support crew if you will . and with the day being what it is , A very ugly and hairy umbrella girl ....(trail boss has been riding and racing dirt bikes since he was a boy , he still has the skills to really use the Beta . I wish if it where possible to turn back the clock and had this bike 30 years ago . how different it could be .) I'm about to turn 66 , I have tons of interest im exploring and I still have a DR650 and my super tenere .

every day we turn a page in life . a new chapter in my life is about to begin .... should be interesting for me anyway.

today the new owner of the Beta took it home .... now its in the next garage down ,as its in my neighbors house , but it's gone from here . cant believe how emotional it was to see it missing from my house and now my life ... but life moves on and I'm thankful I got to enjoy the bike for a few years . the Beta is a fine motorcycle any one shopping should consider .
now what , not sure . turn the page and a new day .

I definitely feel your pain. Nothing in my life have I loved more than riding dirt bikes. I have rode them my whole life and the excitement and enthusiasm has never left me. Unfortunately my old riding buddies have left this world or have stopped riding all together. My best friend is still riding but has gone to the side by side stuff. He only rides 4 or 5 times a year now. I still have my YZ and I do ride it on my little farm but I am now 60 years old and a little leery about riding full off road stuff by myself. I have picked up that DR650 a couple years ago and have been doing some dual sport stuff that I feel comfortable doing alone. Life never stops and like you said we have to turn the page and find what we can do to enjoy the new day.
