So, 3K into ownership and I love the bike the more I ride it. My wife is enjoying riding on the back too. She complained not a whit on a recent hour long trip and is up for a 500mi ride into the mountains soon!
Anyway, I rolled the bike out of the garage this AM at 7AM. No sooner did I start it than it started to rain. 51F. Nice. Anyway, I figured it'd give me a chance to try out my newly installed heated grips for the first time. The only previous time I used heated grips was in Colorado above SteamBoat, at the top of a mountain, in sub-zero temps. On a snowmobile. They were fine, but it wasn't like they made the experience more enjoyable. Today I was luxuriating in the bliss that is warm hands. They were almost a crash danger as I frequently found myself thinking about how toasty my hands were and not thinking about much else. I guess I did think a few times that I only had them at 1/2 power. I own heated gloves, but they are simply 'warm' and not hot, and a royal PIA with all the wires. But the grips are straight up luxury. Well worth the $$$. Anyway, bring on winter. Ha ha ha!
