Walked up to the house today to see a Klim box leaning up against my house. First piece of Klim gear I've purchased and at first glance I'm loven it! I'm hoping it will work well in the San Diego weather, I had debated getting the Klim Apex but I read it gets a little warm in the summers. Its the Klim Apex Air Hi-Viz jacket pared up with the Aria XD-4 in hi-viz. I almost feel like I'm glowing with both on lol

Have the little ones all weekend so I'll have to wait till Monday to go give it a test ride! ::001:: Super excited to have some better protection.

LOL

I had to wait till the wife got home to get her opinion on the size. On Klim size chart I should "technically" be an XXL but after talking to Revzilla they suggested I move up to a XXXL. I personally think I'm a little border line, think I "could" go to an XXL and give myself a little reason to lose weight, I really hate "snug" fitting anything so I always tend to lean towards the larger size.

Can't go wrong with Klim gear. I have the same helmet I love it.

I am usually an XXL in motorcycle jackets but in my Kliim induction jacket I took an XL after getting advice from the shop where I purchased it. It fits snug but not tight and I am able to wear a thin fleece under it if needed.

What I like about the Klim gear is the long sleeve and torso lengths, with my ape arms while in the riding position the jacket is perfect.

I'm looking at new gear also. I have navigated towards the Klim, just don't know which jacket. I live in the desert but ride everywhere. Last jacket was mesh. I loved my XD4

I can tell you the Klim inducttion jacket breathes extremely well for the amount of protection you get with it. I've had it on 90 pluis degree days and I was comfortable.

But - instead of the black like I have I would go with the gray color if I lived in an area where it was extremely most of the year.

Between the beaches, mountains, weather, and concrete roads, San Diego was my favorite place to live. I just can't afford to live there.

The inducttion jacket gets really good reviews, it looks to be an amazing hot weather jacket. To be honest I wanted that jacket but the dang thing is NEVER in stock. It would work well for San Diego summers but I think our cooler months would be a tad bit cold. I personally THINK (as I just got this jacket) that the apex air will work really well with our climate. You can actually close the chest vents to stretch out the Temps.

don't go to smaller size, your not going to lose any weight.... if you like the jacket your going to ride more and to places that serve food and food that's good tends to be a little fattening .... the more you ride the less ,I'm going for a walk .... you will have ridden all the good local roads and then it becomes destination riding , wonder if that restaurant is any good.... should some how you not gain any extra weight you will have room in the jacket for extra layers if you are in a place were it gets cooler ... enjoy the room while you have it .........
