I just finished up 1600 miles in the last 4 days.
Stock seat has my cheeks numb even with a lamb skin cover.
Brother says to get a seat concepts cover and foam ordered.

Do you have the stock seat leveled out?
I have actually done an 11,000 mile 20 day ride and didn't have any problems with the stock seat. [leveled out]

The way I level my seat is free and easy.
Just remove the two center bumpers on the bottom of the seat, Put the Low - High tray into the High spot, Then put the seat tongue in the lower " Low " slot. You have to push down hard on the back of the seat as you stick the tongue into that low slot.

May be the Lambskin cover. My dad had a sheepskin cover on a goldwing, and it caused more discomfort than anything else. Getting rid of it fixed the long term comfort issue on that bike. Otherwise I've found a lot of times with time you get used to a seat. I rode a 1979 KZ1000 Kawasaki nearly 11,000 miles in 13 days on the stock seat, but when I first bought it I had trouble doing 150 miles. Body may adapt over time to the seat. The seat on the super tenere is better than most motorcycles.

I think my FJ was one of the best STOCK seats; wide and flat. And once I leveled the Tenere seat, I enjoyed it much better. The ST1300 STOCK seat was horrible. Huntington Beach Honda provided a gel STOCK replacement. Looked the same, and even felt the same, until you spent an hour plus in the saddle. Then, it was apparent that it wasn't the same. But, HBH only provides for Hondas.

To me the FJ1200 had the worst seat ever. Although comfy feeling at first, talk about a slanted seat, it slanted down like 25 degrees, then up in the front, so you sat in a V shape. I hated that so bad, it still grates on me how much I hated that mototorcycle in the 1000 miles I had it. No offense intended. Like anything it seems, some like, some don't.

Just wanted to give my quick two cents on the Seat Concepts seat. I got the carbon fiber extra firm and I think it's really good. The only problem is it raised my seat height so I'm going to have to get some risers to bring my bars back a tad.
