How tall is your wife?

IF she isn't already doing so have her foot peg steer the S10 and her smile will get even bigger.

I have taught this to my lighter friends that ride big dual sports. Biiig smiles ;D
My wife is 5' 4". She's a very experienced rider. I'm going to do a little work on lowering the seat for her.

We use our bikes for touring, very little, if any off pavement.

Had an 04 Wee. Then 05 FJR1300. Now 2012 SuperT.

04 Wee was easily the worst..HJC helmet..OEM windshield

FJR1300, I added a laminar lip, after 11state/day trip last summer my last 6hours home were brutal..the buffeting (same HJC helmet.modular) seemed to double

at the beginning of the month, I rode the Super T 14states in 10days. Shoei GT-Air (full face) helmet. Madrid bracket with yamaha tall windshield. This was the best experience out of all three. I came home after all that riding and my mind was on riding more. Sweet bike. While riding, I did use my hand to test what would help can more quiet and even reduce the buffeting more(which was minimal compared to last summer)--- The MRA Vario clip-on/bolt-on looks like my next move!

Definitely SuperT>Wee-Strom IMHO

After a few weeks of only riding the Wee-Strom I went out on the S10 yesterday.

Surprised myself with how good the S10 is, obviously the torque stunned me, felt like it was pulling harder at 4k than the strom does at 8k - and I expect it is making as much power and a whole load more torque at half the revs.

Also noticed how slick the shift is, and how smooth the clutch operation is on the S10, nothing wrong with the Strom, but you do feel the extra quality - and rightly so as the bike is almosy twice the price new.

Also noticed how heavy the bike is when wheeling it backwards out of the garage, the Strom feels like a moped after wrestling the S10 - but once moving I think it feels as light on its feet, and if anything quicker steering, although I have a Wilburs shock, re-worked forks and have dropped the forks about 10mm so mine is now about 10mm higher at the back and 10mm lower at the front.

I also feel a lot higher up on the Yamaha, with the Strom it feels like you sit "in" the bike rather than "on" the bike.

Overall it just made me appreciate the Yamaha even more, but once in amongst the stationary tin boxes on my daily commute I will be glad of the narrow little Suzuki which blats between lines of traffic, easily tops 55mpg and costs bugger all to run and service.

Rasher;

Have to agree. I bought the Super Tenere after I sold the WeeStrom.

I am seriously thinking of getting another WeeStrom to keep along side the S10. It is simply fun to ride on daily stuff.

Hey Sal,

My son just got a 14 ES and I have his very nice 2009 ABS Wee Strom at my house to sell. I can make you a very good deal on this nicely equipped and well maintained Wee. Give me a call, or I'll see you Tuesday at lunch.

Thanks, Tim. I found that facebook page and requested to be a member and it is now pending. I will list it there when I am approved as a member. My son thought he would be keeping it for a long time, so recently went thru it, replacing all wear items, brakes, chain, sprockets, wheel bearings, tires, etc. Also has a lot of quality farkles. To his surprise, he became the proud new owner of a 14 ES, so his Wee Strom is now for sale.
