I'm looking for an all-season Gore Tex boot size 8-8-1/2 WIDE that will be comfortable on long rides. Does anybody have wide feet or do we just stuff them in skinny boots they say are wide? If you wear an 8- 8-1/2 wide good boot I'd like to hear about them. Any suggestions?

I would suggest staying away from the Sidi Adventure GoreTex boots. I do not have wide feet, but I still find my boots to be a bit too narrow. They are comfortable in normal riding and walking. But they get a uncomfortable when standing on the pegs for an extended period of time.

Love my Sidi Adventure GoreTex boots with the Piviot Pegs. Your right it was hard on the feet with the stock pegs.

I have the alpinestars Toucan boots they are definitely wider than Sidii,I use sidi race boots which are narrow, the toucans are wider and all day comfort also easy to walk around in.

I agree installing the wider Pivot Pegs did improve things, but still standing for more than 3 or 4 minutes will cause my feet to take notice of the lack of width. Overall I like the boots. They are definitely very high quality, although I could do without the need to constantly treat them to cure the Sidi squeak. I'd be interested in trying the Toucans if these ever wear out. Gonna be a while.

I also have a wide foot (EE).
I have found that the European cut tends to be narrow and when I try on a boot that is wide enough it is way to long.
I have settled in on a couple of boots that fit well for a wide foot.
The TCX line works well. I have the Gore Tex lined Air Tech and a full leather TCX which I can't recall the model name.
I have replaced the insole on both pair which improves the comfort when walking any distance.
The Tour Master Solution boot (I "think" it is Gore Tex lined) also fits well but did not hold up as long as the TCX boot. However, the Solution boot is much easier on your wallet.
Hope this helps. -JEP-

Edit Note: Sorry for the typo. That was TCX NOT GTX....been to to many races I guess! ;)

+ 1. I have a narrow foot and mine fit just fine.
