I tried fitting the SB125ll but as you can see, it doesn’t seat properly

matt, i see its sitting tall, its 38mm long we know that and we know the left side SB125L is 30mm so to short, THAT LONG ONE thats in the picture if it was 33m long do you think it would fit as on ebay the m8x1.25 (sb125l) some are 30mm and i,ve found one 33mm

now speed bleeder says the sb812ll is 38mm the sb8125l IS 33mm and a sb125 is 30mm

Revzilla suggest we need 4 different lengths for our bikes, as opposed to the 3 we have been working with. This is very confusing...

i know this has gone on for weeks now it dosn,t make sence, if that SB8125LL looking at matt's picture is to long as its a LL 38mm
I WONDER IF THIS SB8125L will work as its 33mm long

we know we need a m8x1.25 thread, the SB125L we have bought over hear that fits the left front caliper works that is 30mm,
but the right front is a m8x1.25 as well but the LL is 38mm is to long sb8125 is 30mm to short, the only other lengh you can get a speed bleeder in a m8x1.25 is 33mm

so the link i gave above is the only other that,ll fit

Yeah that right OEM bleeder is completely different to any of the SBs I’ve seen. The o ring appears to seat in a recess in the caliper and the shank of the oem one is different. It might work with it sticking out that far but it doesn’t look right and I’m not taking a chance with it. Perhaps some of those already using speed bleeders can help shed some light on it?

other than gunslinger you put the picture up of the ones we need, i don,t know anybody else on here thats chipped in and using them,
that front right where gunslinger has put a picture up saying we need a SB8125LL and revzilla listed them to as that but as we know it clearly is not,
gunslinger,s picture is of now we know of the ones he took out so oem, so i would love to know if he has taken the right front out as its in the picture whats gone in to replace it as its not a SB8125LL

if you read this as well i know different make, but if you pull a oem bleeder that has a o ring on it you can put a speed bleeder in with no issues or o ring

so i,m guess that we still need a sb8125 like the fj09 is saying i don,t understand why that sb8125ll is to long at 38mm as revzilla says thats the one

Good info Rob. Thank you. Don't know whether to cancel the sb8125lls from US now. Are you planning on trying to fit the one you have?

i only have the SB8125LL that i bought from USA same as matt, but don,t know why it doesn,t fit if you look at that fj09 thread, not worried about that o ring now thats not a issue

strange found this on the fj09 webb site, if you look the 2 oem taken out the front same as ours the front right has the o ring but he says just put the SB8125LL in and your done

rob
Yeah my concern was because if you look at the OEM there is a considerable rebate just above the threaded portion which is not there in the SB.
Maybe nothing to worry about but with a fairly complex linked braking system I was suspicious that that rebate might be an oil way that allows fluid to move from right to left or front to back in some way. I can’t understand why it’s there if it’s not required

whays strange matt, is that thread above the fj09 tracer, and the yamaha niken, have the same front calipers and that SB8125LL in the fj09 thread fits and works and the girl asking the question about bleeders got them for the niken SB8125L left side and SB8125LL right side and both those bikes run our caliper
