Looking for a good Fuse Box Trigger Wire

I'm installing a aux fuse box under the right side panel of my '18 and was hoping to utilize the trigger wire on the factory unused MT90 3 prong plug that I've read has been used successfully in the past on this site. Unfortunately it seems my 18 has a 4 prong MT90 and none of the wires go on and off with the key. I only found one that has constant power. Anyone know where else would be a good connection point for my needs??
Thanks......

I’m not certain on this, however I have a Gen1 and things might be different on your Gen2.

As I understand it, the spare 4 prong connectors were for factory heated grips and the 3 prong for aux lights, I assume you have lights but no heated grips. The 3 prong is often tucked away and you might need to dig about a bit.

I have factory heated grips. I had to dig to find the 4 prong that is not being used with the factory cap on it. So the 18 seems to be different than what you show above.

For some reason even the Gen 2 ES bikes with factory fit heated grips still had the 4 pronged connector, presumably to simplify manufacture of the loom.

Have another dig around though, up behind the toolkit right up the front right side. Yamaha tuck the 3-pronged connector well out of sight.

Having said that, if you aren't the bike's first owner, there is always the chance that some clown has cropped off the connector to expedite removal of a set of aux lights or some other accessory & has simply tape wrapped the 3 wires out of harms way.

Thank you sir, after more digging I found it. Switched brown wire works!!

I bought the bike new so nothing molested in there yet, to date.

Thanks again!!
