Welp, I join the spot guys looks like. My two sons bought me a "Spot Connect" for Fathers day. Not sure when I am leaving, but probably 6/23/12. I am able to manage the spot with my iphone via an app, allows texting also which may be nice when I don't have phone connection.

From what I have read, this thing eats batteries, like in 3 or 4 days, so guess I will invest in some AA lithium batteries. It has a USB connection but for firmware upgrades, they missed the boat by not making a connection for keeping it powered by the bike.

That test run around the lake, did not finish properly. I stopped the track, should have sent a message after stopping back home and then stopped the track. Oh well, that is what the test run is for I reckon.

REM, when I start going too slow and showing not much movement, I may shut it off so my wife will not think I am just goofing off.

What a coincidence!! I was in Clayton NM and left yesterday for home. I wish we could have met up. It would have been nice to meet you.

When I left Eagles Nest and got on 58, the wind started blowing and did not quit until I got home. At a number of points I thought it was going to blow be into the next lane. It was strong.

I'm camped tonight at Fort Casper Campground, Casper WY. Got a slow start this morning so only got about 600 miles!

Bozeman, MT KOA tonight. Great ride today on Beartooth Up to Red Lodge. They had a ski lift running! Canada tomorrow n slow down to 100.

David's wife here. David is hold up in Barriera, BC mudslide north on Hwy 5. Crews are working to clean it up. An alternate route is being decided upon. In the mean time David is spending a nice night in town. He has been in rain and sleet some today with temps going down to the high 40's.

I'm in Radium Hot Springs for the night heading through Banff National park tomorrow taking HWY 16 north to Prince George. Is that David's route?

Think he is going up 5 to 24and then 97 to 100 Mile house. That is on the way to Prince George I believe. If 5 is open he will continue up to 16l and then over to Prince George. You may run into each other then.

I'm camped Ft. Telkwa Riverfront hwy 16 Telkwa.
Saw a blue ST today headed east on 16 and few miles outside of prince George. Saw my first bears ( 4 ) on 16 west of 5. Only one shower, n I don't think I've lost anything YET!

Dease Lake on 37. Rained all day. Saw several bears but it would be easier to get a picture of Sasquach. Single lane temp bridge into Stewert on 37A. Think I passed the new one coming in on a flatbed.

Camped at Dawson Creek mile 0.
Discovered a missing nut and flopping spoke in rear wheel! 6635 miles since I left home, keep an eye on those spokes! Others were loose, will check them every day now. 20,000 + miles.
