On a bad day just remember: 1st Down, all rest Up.
Thats totally correct. The problem for the professionals has not been that "they are even worst informed than us" it is that they've been inundated with not just companies lobbying but entire nations pushing that they have the best thing going, data coming at them from all sides which is filled with "spin" on test results, the overwhelming logistics being worked on, etc. The press just has to research and write about what they see, while the professionals have to actually make CORRECT decisions.
My sister is biotechnician, she is part of the team of 6 womens and 1 men developing the vaccine, working for the Argentinian government. Her salary is barely up from a basic secretary, she still working for the government because she feels like she is making a difference. She is risking her life working directly with the high concentrations of the virus. She buy her own masks since the government does not provide enough or simple they provide cheap chinese masks that some shady company sold very expensive for the government. 2 month ago she almost lost a thumb since she was taking some samples out of nitrogen and the special globes used for that were broken.
My point in all of this, there are this small people that are giving everything every day, in exchange of nothing, no money or fame, nothing at all. and in other hand you have people uninformed, arrogants saying that is just a flue, and people that wont wear a f. mask in close spaces because they feel that their freedom right is being violated.
When the vaccine is real ready for public (despite that those company are jumping steps that are based in time.... that they simple cant speed up that)... the vaccination process will be terrible hard. Go talk to those people that wont use a simple mask in closed places, to go and get a vaccine.
All this pandemic thing, once again tested as as "human" and for me proved that at some point the planet heart will get ride of us and life will continue without us.
