Installed both and very pleased with the results. No remapping FI necessary, just let the motor breathe.....

Idles, revs, runs and sounds schweet, noticable power difference and shed 5lbs in about an hour....Done deal.

Are you using the "downspout" tip? If not, are there any melting issues (turn signal or license plate holder)?

I just got my Leo Vince today and I'm not quite sure how to set it up. It came with a flush mounted db tube inserted in the can. It has another db killer in the box with additional bolts. The directions are pretty poor. Can anyone explain the different LV configurations?

install is easy, but I am wondering the difference between the DB killers as well.

are melted trn signals a worry?

I got mine today also. The box was pretty beat up and one end was partially open. Fortunately, there was nothing missing. But, the end that slips onto the midpipe is no longer round and somewhat crushed, probably from protruding out of the whole in the end of the box. I'm hoping I can adjust it enough to fit properly over the midpipe.

I think the "downspout" db killer is optional. The instructions say to use it if your licence plate is larger than 17cm x 17cm (6.5" x 6.5") which I imagine can be the case in Europe.

Take it to a muffler shop. They can fix it right. Took a Akra there once that didn't fit properly, the enlarged it for free ::008:: ::008:: Never been there before, but now I take all my bikes there to get inspected.

i have run the leo vince for about 7000 km, with just the normal db killer, and several 1000 km without the db killer. no melting issues, down spout db killer completely un-necessary.
OK, thanks! I wasn't thrilled with the look of the down spout and would prefer not to use it. ::012::

I'm running the Leo Vince and a K&N filter, I really like the setup. I run the turn down pipe/spout on the exhaust, I like the look of it and it directs the sound down- which I like.

Those filter changes are a massive PIA, themselves nearly an hour for me with those lid screws!

My pipe was a bit out of round as well. After speaking with Jaxon I just pulled out the separated ends using a large set of pliers. Also installed the pipe without the gasket, metal on metal. The biggest PIA was attaching the pipe to the hanging bracket. The screw was just a tad too short but I managed to use an adjustable plier, compressed the carbon fiber bracket and got the nut to grab. Finally got everything lined up. Just waiting for the ECM so I can get this project finished and start her up. I will be following Jaxon's advice and do a TB sync and adjust the CO setting. Nothing like working on your own bike to get a true sense of how this puppy works.

When you ride it down the street the first time you WILL have a smile on your face and you will quickly forget about the screw.. Good job with the install ! ::008::

Couldn't agree with you more on taking a little ingenuity to get the hanger and muffler bolted up together. I had to flex some major nuts with a vise grip pliers, i remember that much...

other than that, i run the downspout when I'm loaded up with my givi luggage as the regular db killer in or out cackles a bit too much against the crossmember of the luggage rack than what the misses cares for.

when i'm solo however, i take it out. ::26:: ::26::
