In advance of a trip next week to the left coast I mounted up some highway pegs, a necessity for me for long distance- I need to be able to move around. To hang the pegs I needed crash bars but since the goal was more peg oriented, I let the driver be how low they were and tube diameter. I went with HappyTrail bars with Rivco pegs and mounts (1" bar, "1 peg mounts). That gives you a highway peg about 4" up from the stock foot peg and roughly 20" forward:
