Hey Boys and Girls. Fresh back from the 2014 Rally. Great time! Check out the posts and pics on the Rally 2014 Site. I'm just checking back in with my Vegas riders and friends. Missed my JoNeil and Boondocker and wife at the rally... It was a good one but the ride home brutal thru TX and NM.
We need to set up another ride sometime this month... I'm heading to ZZYZZXZXYXZZX on Wed (5 Nov) to check out the area. I posted a very good read on Facebook (Luke Atwell - me holding a puppy) about the history of the road and the Springs that heal people out there. Then the gov't shut it down...? I'll check it out and let you know.
Have any of you done this Clutch Basket change out? I'm going to call Yamaha tomorrow and see what the cost is. The forum has been talking about this and some chain thing?
I'm finally home from a 9,548 mile trip on my S-10 that left in June. Great bike!!!
Well, please drop me a line and let me know if you want to set up a ride sometime...
Luke out...

A ride sounds great.....as long as it's paved. If you want Togo in the dirt I could follow in my truck. Can't wait to hear about your adventures

Glad you had a good trip. ::001::

I might be able to get away for a day ride, just depends on the date.

Good morning brother! Maybe I can come out and ride the Wee when you go to ZZYYZZXXX road with the boys!
I think the clutch basket change out is only if you experience noticable vibration between 3800-4000 rpm. I probably won't mess with it.
The Cam Chain Tensioner r&r is because the valve in the CCT can stick on our bikes and the cam chain will rattle on startup. Especially bad if you start your cold bike and rev it up right away (which you normally don't). I'll probably have Yamaha do this switch when I go in for valves MUCH later.

YOU are the Greatest bro!!!

Anyone up for an overnighter? Death Valley is decent this time of year. A trip through Titus Canyon is on offer for those who want some dirt action. There are plenty of paved, scenic detours as well. Probably want to avoid trying to arrange something on the Thanksgiving weekend though.

Thanks for the shout out Luke, I'm working tomorrow 'tin noon, so no go. Just got the bike back today from a four month dealer visit and warranty repair for slipped cam chain. I need to do some re-farkling and sorting before it's trip worthy again. I've never been to Mt Charleston, so thanks for giving me a new destination to check out.

Hey Luke, this is your tall Tenere friend Dan. I just got back from a overnighter at Death Valley/Panamint Springs. Anyone interested in doing a ride tomorrow, maybe Sandy Valley Rd area, then Pahrump, etc?
