Put these on yesterday and went for a ride. They really help a lot. Need to take them off and paint them now. Even on the highway here in Louisiana the roads are poor. Glad to have found these.

Put my number in the hat. I have the tall windshield and noticed a bit of movement at highway speeds. Like the idea of using the two mounting holes, spreads the stress out and better bracing than my idea of using a piece of aly and using only one hole.

My brackets showed up today. I suppose you know the brackets are flat aluminum but the mounting points are not in the same plane? There needs to be a bend in them somewhere? And the aluminum is thick enough that it just barely lets the locating tab on the outer piece to just barely go into the height adjustment hole? I think something off the nav bar would be a better solution.

There is no bend required in this location, its known to be not in the same plane and will conform as the bolts are tightened.
These are a proven design as is with nearly 400 sets sold worldwide.
As for where they mount to the slides/adjusters, the 4 detents will no longer function/engage with their respective holes. Make sure the factory tri-lobe wingnuts are tight and it will give you the holding power you need.
Here is a video I shot on my bike last fall with these same bars in place with the wind screen in the low position. I move mine around all the time depending on what conditions I am riding in.

I have these on mine and correct the mounting points and bar are not in the same plane, I tweaked mine to make the fit. Now, I have had them on for 2 full riding season they were well worth it.
My GPS would had fail surely before the bracing was on, now its very solid.
But yes I had to tweak for the fit.
IMO it should be addressed but it wasn't a big deal.

It's difficult to actually form the bend in question. That's why they are left flat. It's best to let this form in place because the radius size of the bend is probably upwards of 300 mm or 12 in.
