well got to pimp up my ride a bit with new Clearwater Krista LED lights / Techmount brackets mounted on the Altrider crash bar. Also had a new Piaa horn installed to replace the stock horn. This location on the crash bar for the lights provides 1. better visibility as they are not positioned right next to the stock headlight, making them more visible to others on the road, 2. crash protection if the bike is tipped. With the price paid for them I did not want to have them damaged in a fall. Also love the light dimmer rotating button so I can reduce the light output at night in the city...overall very happy with them !

Don't the kristas come with a high beam sensing wire where the dimmer gets overriden in high beam? That way you could pretty much set and forget the dimmer as it would only come into play with low beams on.

For those of us who don't have crash bars installed, do you think the kristas would fit in the void underneath the headlights?

I didn't want Clearwater to wire the Kristas into the high beam switch, but they did.
They also wired the Glendas into the high beams. Needless to say, all those light are very bright.
Giving me multiple options of luminosity. I've had cops move over when fully lit!!!

I also wanted the Kristas mounted under the headlights, but the guys said they wouldn't fit.
Though I do believe they thought I wanted them mounted on the forks, which would obviuosly hit some plastic.

With the mounting holes from the factory and the right bracket, the Kristas should be able to mount under. For me, clear strobes ended up under the headlights.

PS: Great looking bike jackfis!!! ::026::
PSS: Spider bought Clearwater too, where did he mount?

Holy crap that must be bright with them all on high. I have just the Glendas down on the forks and pretty much pointed straight ahead but with the yellow/orange lenses in more for daytime to be seen better (hopefully, maybe) and even at night on high they help light up the road. I do have them wired to the high beam switch. I am considering mounting one Krista someplace for dark roads as a driving light. I think it will easily fit under the headlight between the forks. I doubt two would fit to well. YMMV
Can't say enough about the Clearwaters so far. Nicely done Clearwater.

I have it on good authority that two Kristas will fit under the headlights. Contact Tabasco for details.

For sure the Krista's fit under the headlights, I can see in the pictures above they fit under the headlights ... there is plenty of room under the headlights ... I could mount car headlights under there ... OK I'm done being a sarcastic jerk now ...

Yes thanks Tremor. I wasn't sure if they would fit in the smaller space where I think the OEM lights go; I have to get the dimensions, I think they might be four inches in diameter. For sure the Glenda's would go there at two inch diameter.

Glenn at Cleawater has brackets for the Glendas to mount to the fork legs at the fender. If you are mounting the Kristas I am sure he has brackets for those too. In the attached picture you wil see my Glendas mounted on his brackets witha small change. I actually mounted the bracket. "point" facing to the rear of the bike. This moved the light closer to the centerline of the forks and thouht it was better protected in a tip over based on a string I pulled between the tire and the crash bars and handlebars. I hade them mounted feard on my Multistrada

Haha! How about some aircraft landing lights. I think you're just one of those guys who has to be different by mounting a single light -sarcasm off-. I wasn't going by the pictures,

toompine, I am very interested in seeing your lights. I want to get lights installed soon. Only five more days before the darkest day of the year. Tired of planning rides for daylight.

Which size techmounts fit the Altrider bars?

Nice setup would like to duplicate it.

Thanks,
Andy
