Kisan Signal Minder

I am in the process of installing a Kisan Signal Minder on my S10. The unit has some features that I want to use, and to activate them, three connections have to be made, one to each of the turn signal lines, and one to the brake wiring. As the Kisan unit replaces the stock relay, I'd like to tap into the lines near the unit.

Can anyone tell me where I can pick up these wires to tap into them with out too much difficluty (color codes, conector locations, etc.)

Thanks,
Stray Goose

P.S. I have a prototype headlight modulator I'm helping to develop for the S10. Works great, and should be available soon!

My understanding is that the Kisan replaces your flasher. You'll need to get at the flasher under the right upper cover. Last check was they didn't have a direct install for the Tenere. But a two wire unit should be able to be made to work.

Hang on to your oem relay (flasher). I had a Kissan Signal Minder on my Ducati for several years and one day it went up in smoke (literally). Not a lot of smoke but enough to cause me some concern.

I have the unit, it works, but I need to know where at access the left and right turn, and brake wires near the unit to enable all the features it has. I need to tap into that wiring and want to do it near the unit, rather than nunnimg the wires all the way to a lamp, then back to the unit.

What I am saking is where i can tap into these sources near the relay.

The wires for the rear harness have to run along the right frame rail to get to 'electrical central'. Seems like that harness should be within a couple inches of the relays and fuse block.
Oh, and which relay did you order?

First, I must follow forum rules and say ::024::

Here is the connector -

The brown and green wires are the left and right turn signals. I'm not going to break out the FSM just to look up the closest brake wire for you.

Here is a shot from farther back. I tapped into these with Posi-taps for my 4-way flasher mod.

And feel special, I took that second pic just now, just for you. Now go buy a Factory Service Manual please. ;D

And learn how to turn off the turn signals after you turned them on. ::)
