No my Super Tenere did not let me down. My friend's 2013 BMW GS's battery has died. We attempted to leave late yesterday afternoon and just nothing. Called close Canadian Tire store at 4:55pm and was told that they had the right battery and would charge it over night for they opened at 8:00 this morning. Took the old battery with us and they didn't charge a battery and the one they have is not the right one either.
Now we are waiting for another mc store to open at 11:00am. Yes it's Sunday... We are at the downtown Hilton.
If you can help call 828

Worst case scenario, buy a car or U-1 tractor battery, some 8 or 10 gauge wire and some terminals and/or clamps and put the bigger battery on the rear seat, strap it down and go. Deal with the rest of the issue when you get to a better location. If you don't know why the battery was dead... you have a bigger problem. You need to sort that our or you will just have a new, dead, battery shortly.

Thanks for the well wishes... Here is an update... We borrowed a car from a friend of Chris's. He was here for an Optimist meeting. And we found ADM Sports and they now have a battery being charged that IS the correct one. In an hour we should be back on the road.
Being optimistic the battery was 3 years old with 33,000 miles so??? My 2012 and my 2014ES both needed batteries in the first two years of ownership. Perhaps Chris's GS is the same.
As a side note... We are going on to Nova Scotia before home in western North Carolina and when we get there Chris has to turn over the bike to his ex as a settlement in the divorce.

Kind of a sucky last ride on a bike. I hope your optimism holds for the rest of the ride. My batteries last longer if I don't F something up and let them go flat.

The result is that Chris got a battery at a very large MC shop in Quebec. ADM Sports is huge! We put the battery in and rode on to Nova Scotia did Cabot Trail and am now down in Bangor, ME.
