Man, I wish I knew about this a year ago. yeah, it's for bicycles, but trust me, it's awesome for motorcyclists.

You have to pay a little bit for the neat features, but it's worth it. Spits out somewhat customizable route sheets, exports in .gpx, .kml, and others, export route sheets to Excel, web based, uses google maps, fast, your maps are stored on their server, etc.

Screw basecamp, google maps, whatever you were using. This thing is awesome.

For those of you with crappy GPS's like me, it will export the route with only the turns and not the whole track.

I don't see route planning on grouprider, but i'm not a member. That just looks like a bunch of shared routes. Right?
I "joined". It is free. You can make "routes" under "roads" and then export to .gpx. That feeds my Garmin well.

Been using that site for a long time. I never could figure out how to share a GPS route with people who didn't have a programmable GPS. I tried the Google products, but just couldn't get them to work for me. ridewithgps.com was the solution. Very handy.

do any of you have a way to put a reset in their "cue" sheet? Trying to make some route sheets that are friendly to us motorcyclists with some mileage resets. I see the "segment" tool but I can't figure out if there is a way to use it to do what i want to do.

Ah, found the way to get it on my TomTom.

Create the route online and just export the route, not the track (cuesheet entries only). Then split it in a couple of files with Tyre.
