14 ES, Canadian spec. Bought it used, only got one black key that was bent, and the red code key.

Ordered two new key blanks from the dealer, took them to a proper locksmith to get cut, then back to the dealer to get programmed to the bike itself. My service manual does not have the pages that covers this, I found one screen cap here that was kinda blurry, but pointed the shop in the right direction to find it, he had to look at a '17 manual specifically, I believe.

Took us over an hour to make it work, as we struggled to get one, then the second key you be recognized, kept getting the 052 error message on the dash (unrecognized key error).

The solution is on the page, except that their timing is a lot faster than you'd expect. Lots faster. Two guys with keys in hand is the way, because you just can't switch them out fast enough on your own.

So:

-red key on/off in a second.

-First black key in and on, within three seconds, off and out.

-second guy with second key, in and on! This is the tight step for timing, and why a buddy is essential.

-once that key registers in about three seconds, you'll hear the fuel pump cycle. Turn off key, remove.

Now, just confirm that both keys start the bike. If they don't, start all over! Two keys have to be done in the same session, or it just won't work, only the last key done will work.

Included a better pic of the relevant manual print out below.

Hope this helps someone.

Many thanks for this.
I'm lucky, I have the red and two black keys.
