Hi, my name is Phil and I just registered today after I made the decision to buy myself the XT1200Z this week. I've been riding bike for almost 30 years. I'm a freelance reporter and photographer mainly for the motorcycle press.

Phil,

Congrats on the new ride. We are playing the waiting game until next May so it is helpful to hear folks' experiences that actually have the bike.

Congrats Phil nice picture. I want to add that I think if you continue to ride on the sidewalks, you might give us all a bad name. The women and children walking home from school may get a little SCARED!!! Nice pics and welcome!!

Thanks for the warm welcome. The bike was on the sidewalk just to take a picture on top of the bridge. I'll hope to post some more pictures later on.

Cheers.

Not at all. I did my article on the Super Tenere a few weeks ago for my blog. I've compared the Yam against the GS for that matter. After a full day of testing I convinced myself that buying a First Edition was a good thing to do. For some years I told myself I wanted to get me an adventure type of motorcycle. Now i did. The Tenere really pleased me in many ways.

My blog is www.motoblog.be but all text is in my native tongue.
Perhaps you could do a google translation but I'm afraid it will turn out bad.

This is THE LINK to the article.
