130 kph is 80mph. I'm not at my computer, but it seems like he's not in the US.

Not sure of the traffic laws where he's at, so not going to judge him. I've seen much worse.

You might be right. Maybe it is legal to pass on a double line at 200 km/h wherever he is from and split traffic in a construction zone. Maybe? But even IF that we're the case he's risking his life and others by showing very poor judgement. Sorry for coming off preachy but this is an issue with me. Our insurance here is insane because guys like this end up laying in hospitals for years when they could be riding years if they would just use some sense. I'm guessing he's young, hope he figures it out. My wife's cousin has been laying in a hospital up here for 28 years. Snowmobile accident. No one home. Sad.
Thanks for letting me vent. ::009::

What he is doing definitely isnt okay, and obviously not legal. Just compared to a lot of motorcycle videos you seen on youtube this one is pretty tame.

and as a 23 year old, I resent the assumption that he is young. haha. I am the youngest in my riding group. most the guys I ride with are 40-70 years old, and I ride like a grandpa compared to them. Older guys make poor decisions too.

Interesting, as posting the video is actually doing exactly what the author/rider of the piece wanted - i.e. getting more views of his video in more and more places, etc. on the internet. Though I can perhaps understand your displeasure with his actions he ended getting his wish.

That said, as others have pointed out his speed is in KMH, so he's not really going *that* fast in much of the video, and like others have stated... I've seen much, much worse.

I don't know exactly what motivates guys like that to make vids like that, then why they feel some sort weird need to post them up to YouTube. If you think about it the guy must actually have pretty low self-esteem posting something like that. After all, he's not going that fast, and when it comes to skill level he's not doing anything that takes much talent... He's no Valentino Rossi, that's for sure. Posting the vid only makes him look like the squid he is. I'm fairly certain that nobody here on this forum rides like that, at least not with some sort of good reason, like an emergency, etc., so I doubt anyone here really cares much about seeing it. I watched about a minute of it, clicked to near the end to see if there was some sort point, like him getting pulled over by a cop, etc., then quit watching it.

One realizes pretty quickly that all he wanted was for people to see it - i.e. "Look at Me! Look at Me!" - and that's what he's getting every time somebody links to it, embeds it into forum posts, etc.

I'd say ignore it. That's the best way to handle squids in the long run. Darwin usually takes care of them in the end.

Just my two centavos... YMMV.

The dude just looked like he was filtering traffic efficiently to me. He really wasn't going that fast, although I'm sure he was breaking a few laws. Seemed like a guy in a hurry rather than a squid.
