Okay, here is the magazine cover and the article. Don't know what copyright laws this violates but these are low def images.

In return we should plug both ADV Moto magazine http://www.adventuremotorcycle.com/ and Jaxxon's business http://rideonadv.com/

Buy the Sept Oct Issue of ADV Moto and/or subscribe. The editor is a Pacific Northwest Super Tenere Owners Group member. The issue is packed with Super Tenere articles and ads. Good ADV publication!!!!

Jaxxon, on a side note, you equipped the ST with a Wolfman Blackhawk. I am looking for a new tank bag. Was considering the OEM one, but the map pocket looks too small. The Blackhawk is pretty good?

Jaxon - Great writeup! Nice to know more about the fellow on the other end of the phone and email.

SalmoSam - I use a Wolfman Rainer on the S10 and used it on a couple of previous bikes and it works well for me. It is a larger than the Blackhawk but does not interfere with the handlebars, even when going lock to lock. Probably does not look as good as the Blackhawk do to its size but it is definitely functional. It is roomy enough to hold GPS and power cord, spare glasses and sunglasses, can of chain lube (for the V-Strom), can of spray cleaner and rags, protein bars and other assorted small bits. If I expand it, I can also add my full size SLR camera

Sorry, to get us back on topic, here is the back cover of the ADV Moto magazine Sept Oct issue.
When is the last time you saw our beloved Tenere on both the front and back cover of a motorcycle magazine? ::012::

So Jaxon,

Is this like an Adventure bike for the streets. Looks like a bit a bit of an Adventure geetting it in and out of drive ways.

Since I know very liitle of the sceene, what's a bike like this all about. Apart from Awseome work.

How did this kind of thing evolve? Will adventure bikes be six foot off the ground in 20 years time? Will the show scene ever embrace ADV bikes? Will it morph into a rat bike / trail bike hybrid?

Totally impractical... "at the time" it was an advertising piece... People were blown away by it and it was built at the panicle of the modern 'chopper' craze.. It not only did was it was suppose to do by getting me more bike builds, but also got me on a TV show, more advertising, magazine shoots, and appearances around the country... So in the end, it did what it was built for..... You should see the TV build off bike... That one is way more cool...

Today its really "mechanical art"

Way to go Jaxon! I really enjoy hanging around your shop and seeing all the projects you have going.

BTW, Jaxon does (did?) metal art sculptures as well. He's quite the renaissance man!
