Well, I finally picked up my new '13 white Super Tenere yesterday morning at the dealer after it came in late Friday night.....and I'M IN FREAKING LOVE!!

I feel like a kid in a candy store and I damn near wanted to go and sleep out in the garage by it haha. After a good ride yesterday I came home and took off all the annoying warning stickers that littered the bike and adjusted the windscreen to the upper position. I'm curious if the upper position helps much today when I get back on it.

Anyways, sorry for a useless post, but I wanted to say that there is ANOTHER happy Super Tenere owner on the block!

Welcome! Think you're happy now, wait till she breaks in a bit and starts really loosening up. You're in for a real treat!

Congrats! Enjoy and be safe.

Apparently the is no official upper position for the stock windscreen. Holes are there but not intended to be adjusted from what I read. Using the upper holes leaves a wind gap at the bottom but adjustment makes little difference for my 6'4" frame in any case. Lots of aftermarket Cee Bailey, calSci, parabellum and madstat bracket windscreen threads here.

In fact, a best far kel and regret farkel threads were recently started here so your going to save some time and money there.

Welcome! Glad you are loving it, and it only gets better with miles. I have fallen asleep next to mine, and woke back up when the wrench slipped out of my hand and hit the floor.

I agree! I have only about 400 miles on my new ST. I had my first ride today that wasnt to work and it was awesome. About 50 miles of gravel and 10 of wet, muddy gravel and another 30 of pavement. The wet stuff was the most fun. I cant wait for the bile to loosen up some. The suspension was pretty tight.

I would never have done that ride on my Harley! I am a very happy dude right now!

I really wanted to stop and take some pictures of my bike but I couldn't. I was having way too much fun!!!

Another sleepless night because all I could think about was hopping back on the bike to go for a ride this morning haha. I must say, I'm very happy I raised the windscreen because now it works perfect for my height and still gives me some good airflow to the chest like I like (especially during Texas summers). Did I mention that this bike is fantastic yet?

Here's what helped me enjoy mine more.
1. I don't monitor gas mileage. I don't care.
2. Due to number 1 above, I don't care what the price of gas is.
3. I don't care what anyone else paid for their bike.
4. I am not worried about scratches or dents. I now have both and they each were a result of a fun day.
5. I will never get a means for answering a phone while I ride.
6. 90 percent of the "funny noises" or annoying aspects of the bike can be fixed with earplugs.
7. I check in daily on this site for great photos, great conversations, and great ideas.
8. I have gone on rides with other Tenere owners Bugkiller and Nick.
9. I love the fact almost no one knows what a Tenere is.
10. I did sleep in the garage the first night I had it.

Sound advice. Even the advice on sound. :)

Greeting from DFW! Let the farkling begin!! Time to crack open your piggy bank and get that beast all decked out.

Get some decent crash bars and skid plate first. The stock plate is a joke.

Check out the Colorado gathering in June (top of the home page). There are several going from Texas. Shouldn't be tough to hook up with someone for the ride out.
