Hi guys,
can you help, bike is a gen 1 2013 with 24000 miles on clock, my rear pads run low in 2016 at 14000 miles, so i bought genuine yamaha ones and replaced them then dec 2016 14000 miles, now bikes been ok.
i washed the bike a week or to ago put it away wet, now yesterday i was taking rear wheel off to replace the disc bolts for new titanium ones and paint the disc cover it was grubby, as i was taking the spindle out i could not pull the caliper up off the disc it was tight i managed to knock it up off with rubber mallet.
now the yamaha pads that were put in 3 yrs ago and only 10000 miles are virtually gone the back one has about 2mm the piston one has abit more and its grubby.
SO can i tidy this up myself, once the rear wheel is all painted and back togher i can i think just about squeese the caliper back over the disc, once back if i then remove the 2 caliper bolts take the pads back out how to i clean the piston thats sticking out and generally get it right.
also can you recommened a rear pad that,ll work ok with our original disc i can,t get another yamaha set everything shut
thanks
rob
