Is my Tenere ES lowered?

I'm new to the Tenere, purchased a 2014 ES back in May.
I've bottomed out a few times (rumbux, which reduces clearance, and my gut which compresses suspension were the culprits i thought)
More than one other non ES Tenere owner has commented that my bike looks lower than theirs. One quickly measured his dogbone line vs mine, mine was almost an inch longer.
So, is the dogbone line the same on ES and non ES models?
The link on mine is stamped 2KB, while the non ES seemed to have no markings.
Here is a pic with measurements of link, and center hole to center hole.

OK can't get pic to load.
measures 15cm
12cm from center of each hole.

Thanks!
Mike

My S10 is also the non ES model.
And the dogbone is also shorter than yours.
Axactly 2 cm shorter (both total and center to center)

You could try to measure the hight of seat. All model have a seat hight of 845mm low, and 870mm high.
(depending of setting of preload, of course. 845-870mm is standard setting i believe)

The ES and standard models have different dog bones as well as different lower pivot castings from the factory.

Hi JSTRUMMER, I just measured my 14 ES and it was the same marking and is also 12cm between holes. I guess you need to lose some weight.

Thanks for the help guys. Even off the bike it looks lower though sounds like I need to play with the suspension a bit.
I know the Rumbux sits lower than other bash plates, could exaggerate it some.
Thanks again, much appreciated!

Would putting a shorter dog bone on your ES be possible? I've always wondered this to raise the bike a little for better clearance. I know you can on the standard version but not sure how it would play with the ES. Anyone know?

Looking at pictures, and my bike, the front of the bike is lower than the "dog bone". The more "stuff" that you put on your bike decreases your cargo capacity. It also compresses springs, ES or not. I trust the Yamaha engineer that decided which "dog bone" that MY bike needed.

Hi,

I have a XT1200ZE (european version of your ES) and the stock dog bones measure 118mm between centres.

Note: My Gen 2 bike required exhaust removal to get links off. Once done the link bolts can be put thro the other way, so exhaust removal becomes unnecessary.
