Hello,
I have read in other forums that the anti vibration camera system of the iPhone 11 gets damaged if you use it fixed in your bike, specially if you ride on unpaved roads.
I use my iPhone 11 Pro installed in the bar.
Please share your comments or experience?
Regards from Chile.

It is 100% guaranteed to kill your camera in every iPhone model with OIS, which started with the 8 iirc.

Actually started with the 6S and 6S-plus models.
Had a buddy that went through 3 of them before he figured out it was the vibration from the motorcycle that was killing them.
My 6-plus did not have this problem. Had mine solid-mounted for two years and never had a camera issue.

Yes, it will damage it.

Ive dropped my 6 phone (with a case) and the use of it off road and it has ruined the camera several times......... I dont even sweat it now, I order a new camera and just replace the camera myself now. Ive switched it out 3-4 times over the years. This 6 camera is not expensive but Ive checked prices for the I-Phone 10-11 models and those get expensive fast. When I do upgrade to one of these new multi camera phones I will be much more aware of vibration and keep it in a place with the least amount of vibration, probably jacket.

Yes!! My iPhone is only used for navigation in an emergency when riding. Navigation in order of convenience: Stand alone GPS, paper maps, compass, dead reckoning, landmarks, and last resort phone.

Only reason I got started in GPS navigation is because roll charts were being phased out in enduro races and dual sport club rides. I had no choice but to learn "track navigation". Now I'm spoiled.

Martin you never mentioned why you choose to ride with your phone mounted somewhere known for so much vibration ?
I have iPhone 7+ and usually carry it in shirt pocket or tankbag while riding Tenere, I have dropped the phone on concrete a bunch of times but so far everything has kept working, smartphones are great for lots of stuff but at least for me they get dropped much easier and more often than the old flip phones ever did.

I found a practical solution.
I keep the iPhone 11 in my pocket and share wifi with an old robust Samsung S7 mounted in the accessory bar. It is also waterproof.
I do not use the Samsung S7 as a cellphone. Just for navigation purposes.

Quadlock makes an anti-vibration mount for this specific reason. They just released it two weeks ago, I think.

I've used their stuff for my Samsung, love it.
