Looks good but 4" from tail light center to the near edge of the turn signal is well known. It's an easy bust when going through an annual safety inspection in some States or for a new license plate in others, then the shop sells you the fix. It also gives any officer an easy reason to pull you over.

That said, your mod looks good and the LED rear signals on my KTM dual sport are mounted flush on the sides of the fender because it does get dropped now and then, which kills regular signals. I have a set of regular turn signals if/when it needs to be inspected.

What modifications did you have to make to the kit to work in the Tenere?

absolutely nothing, it dropped in, as the tails light boards are the same, just the housing is slightly different .
