Just thought I would comment on the throttle lag and my impression from a test ride.
Thanks but most of us have thousands of miles on ours. ;)

It seems that the TCS continues to work. I usually turn it off in the dirt. But this weekend left the TCS on going uphill on some gravel and washboard . The yellow light blinked away and you could feel it engaging.
Good to know, thanks.

Wow! I can't believe so many people just outright not happy with their motorcycles. ::025:: this bike is designed for a purpose: take you anywhere in the world. It is not for racing. It is not for scaring cows with loud pipes. ...... ;D

Seems that group has been conspicuously quiet in this regard. There's been some naysayers, but I've had this mod in for almost 1k miles. Dirt roads, interstate etc. And I like it! Much better throttle response. No change in fuel economy overall. I think that in commuting you will see a slight dip as you stay in the lower gears more.
But in regards to the reflashers there may be some "jumper envy" or "reflash regret" involved.

My switch and Hitachi connectors are on their way from Eastern Beaver, so my switched mod will be installed soon. The mod has made so much difference to the power delivery in lower gears, and other than a new silencer (because I like the sound to be fruity but not too loud) I think I am done with engine mods.

I can spend the money I was putting into speed on a new rear shock instead. I think this will (for me) be more of a performance enhancement than squeezing a few more ponies out of the motor.

Regards,

Matt

Would you be able to post a link to the Eastern Beaver connector and switch? I've looked on his site and did not see it.

Nice. It's 9:15 and I'm already getting my quota for the day of people pissed at me :D Is there any way of making a poll to find out how many people are completely happy with stock S10?

It is a bit fiddly on the phone, so I will get a link when I get home from work if others don't best me to it.

Basically you need the 3 way Hitachi connectors and I also ordered the standard handlebar switch that you would use to power lights. You may be able to source these locally.

I am also planning to use a relay in the circuit, triggered by the headlight. This should disable the mod until the motor runs therefore retaining the original use of the clutch switch if I forget to switch off the mod. Not my idea, but I will gladly try it!

Matt

So it's not a plug'n'play kit that he sells for the SuperTen, you're just buying the connectors and making it yourself. I've looked thru all his connectors and it's easy to get the wrong one. Looking forward to the specifics. thanks!

I"m very happy with my stock S10 after I had the TB synch and put 6K mies on it. It's amazing how the power changes with miles.
I do have an Akra exhaust but no ECU/PCV mods.

I had plans for a reflash but will not do that now.

I happy for those who have done the re-flash and are pleased with the results, whatever puts a smile on our face!!
Regards, Paul

if you really think that, i pity you, you really think that shorting that wire gives you the same results as the flash, jumper envy, reflash regret. hahahaha fool. theres a few on here that had the guts to actually do the flash early on, and were prepared to offer help to others. theres alot of dreamers on this forum, thats most of the reason o opted to keep out of the reflash threads. you crack on with ya cheap tacky mod. my bike will leave you in a cloud of dust. waaahahahahahaa ::013:: ::013::

Enough of the pissing contest, please. There is no right or wrong answer.

If you have a flash, PCV, exhaust etc and have it set up well on the dyno (and maybe an autotune) this is going to give you the best result, but for a lot of money.

It appears that the fuse mod gives a moderate improvement for not a lot of money.

It is a straight choice based on how much money you have, how bothered you are about it and what is "good enough" to you. I never bought the bike to be a powerhouse, so the fuse mod and a can will do me. For those who want more the options are out there.

Can we not just ::021::
