Howdy all,

I'm picking up my new S10 today, thanks to a very aggressive sale. I've taken S10s through Death Valley, into Baja, and into the air on various tests - so i'm pretty familiar with the model, too.

I currently work at Yamaha corporate, and previously have worked for Suzuki corporate, as well as having served with several trade and consumer magazines, such as Dealernews and Motorcycle Consumer News. I've been inside this industry my entire career. I've also never owned a car - because cars suck.

Looking forward to it...

Welcome aboard.
Did corporate change policy? For years on the FJRForum we knew we had employees as part of the group and I met a couple. they'd relate that corporate prefer they not post who they worked for when on forums. My employer has a similar policy.

In order...

1.) "XT07" is likely the MT-07 Tracer leaked on Visordown... i've never heard anything about it before that.

2.) 2014 non-ES, blue

3.) If YMUS has a policy, no one told me (and i haven't seen it in Handbook). I certainly ain't here as a representative of Yamaha, nor will i be violating any of the many NDAs i have signed. I'm just another owner, if a slightly more informed/experienced one...

Next?

no no no...The XT07 is a fictional motorcycle that a few guys here want.
FZ07 motor, in a dp chassis with 21/18 spoked rims.
MT07 tracer is a pointless exercise IMO, unless they are chasing after Versys 650 buyers. FZ07 and slap a screen on it. Job done.

::004:: from London, Canada, Stridercal! Interesting that you have worked for Suzuki as well. In addition to my Super Tenere, I purchased a used 2009 Suzuki Bandit 1250 this year for my son to use. It is a great bike.

It is nice to see that someone from Yamaha corporate rides not just a Yamaha, but a Super Tenere! Kind of reassuring, like seeing an employee from a favorite restaurant eating there. You know the food must be okay!

Cheers,

Bruce

Hey, other Bruce!

I, too, have owned a Bandit 1250S. And a Bandit 1200S. And two SV650s, a DL650 and a GSX-R600. A couple of Suzukis, in other words.

I've also had three different VFR800s, a CB600F, and a few other piles when starting off.
