I'm still waiting for my dealer in Ft. Wayne to call me back. I told him I had $500.00 in my pocket. He said he needed to check with his Yamaha sales rep. 8 days and counting.

Hey smokeeater,

Run on over to Upper Sandusky, Oh Thiels Wheels, they have had a few on order. There is a guy from ADV that has gone down there to order. I have dealt with them before and my dad bought an FJR from them in 07.

I ordered mine from them. I liked dealing with the salesman (Dave Russell) and I've talked to a couple friends who have give them great reviews.

Jeff, I'm Bryan from MSTA. I had the blue Trophy 1200 when you lived here. Actually, just sold it last month.

Good to hear from you again. How do you like the PNW?

Surprising! I guess we'll see each other on the road. Might be nice to meet someplace for lunch when we get them, and get a group picture.

Smokeeater - I'm assuming that you're referring to Woodson's. I'm not sure what's going on with those guys, but I just didn't feel comfortable letting them sit on my $500 deposit for 8 months. I'm hoping they're OK, but I get weird vibes when I walk in there now, and I thought it was possible that they wouldn't even be in business by the time my S10 was supposed to arrive. So, I instead drove twice as far, to Thiels Wheels, and orded mine from them (I also worked with Dave, and he was great to work with).

You hit the nail on the head. It has officially been 12 days since I went in there and told them I wanted to get the ball rolling on ordering one. Very disappointing.

They finally called me back and left an unprofessional message. Basically, "if you want the bike we need $500 bucks." then they hung up.

That's surprising. I'd never dealth with Thiel's before I ordered the S10, but I got great service from them and plan to buy more from them in the future. I'd call back, and this time ask to speak with Dave, the General Sales Manager. He'll take care of you.

MOby,

I like the PNW alot better than ohio and all of the humidity. We get none of that. We also don't get alot of wind here. If we do, it is rare and trees start to fall. Of course with the wet ground in the winter, it doesn't take much more than a lung full of hot air to get a tree down.

It was Woodson's that left the message. Thiel's has been great. Picking up a new bike tomorrow, Triumph Tiger 1050.

No way. I can't wait till my S10 comes in. Smokeater is the one that jumped ship and bought the Triumph. For about a year, I thought my dreambike was the BMW F800GS and almost bought one this Spring. There was just something holding me back from buying the BMW. I've always been a Jap-bike guy, and as soon as I saw the S10 in black, I knew it was the bike I've been waiting for. Can't wait for May!!!!!!!!!
