Thanks to my good friends Frank and Jody who babysat me on my first time back on a bike since my 02 October accident.
Frank led a leisurely pace and Jody had my back.
We had a nice short 30 mil ride to a stop for lunch where we met up with some other friends. It was an International Meeting of the Twins with bikes from Germany, Italy, Austria, Japan and USA.
The Super Tenere had a lot of admiring stares.

@ 80 miles after lunch back to the start. A nice mix of back roads, some two lane and Frank even threw in a couple short stretches of single lane closed and damaged roads that had me standing on the pegs. We even had snow for a couple of minutes.

All in all just about perfect.

Love the Super Tenere. Smooooooootttttthhhh.

Hope to see you all on the road soon.

John

Hey John,

Glad to hear your back in the saddle. It's a great bike that only gets better and better as the miles add up. ;D

John, great pics! What a neat group. You all have the same interests in Dual Sports! Really neat. All of my riding friends have long since sold their motorcycles, but we all still keep in touch in other regards such as family and hobbies (ham radio). And it's great to hear you're back on the proverbial 'horse' XT1200Z!

Ride safe, as I know you will, and have fun on that sweet ride! ::26::

Hi John,
Good for you getting back up on the bike. Been there done that! Great to have friends to help you through. The Tenere gives the rider lots of confidence. Ride safe!

Congrat's, John! That must be a great feeling! I'm also a 'been there and done that' guy, so I can relate. Are you the guy that has owned the bike for awhile, but hasn't really been able to ride until now? I seem to remember that post.

There are some big dudes in that group!

Anyway, it's good to see ya out there riding.
