I'm sure it's been discussed...

but I can't seem to find answers on two questions. First, what's the safest way to remove all the warning stickers? I have a heat gun but was afraid to bubble the paint. Second question, I don't like the forward lean from the stock seat setup in the low position. Is there a simple way to just shim the adjustment bracket?

Thanks,

Dan

Dan, heat gun with patiance, get the overall sticker good and warm (read soft) start with one corner, keep the whole sticker as one, that way it will take all the glue with it.

the forward lean can be fixed with rubber bumpers from another yamaha, search seat mod, should come up

Nooooooo! Don't you realise that, without all those warnings, you're doomed to die from the ignorance that the manufacturer is so frightened of! Well frightened of a law suit anyway.

I once bought a new KLR, the "break in sticker" on the speedomoter, yeah, 9 1/2 years later when I sold it, the new owner took that off.

Sigh, sticker murderers.

Thanks for the tips. I found the seat mod thread but couldn't see the pictures from the OP. I guess I'll have to check my settings. I'm gonna work on those stickers tonight.

Go to Bike Bandit and look up the part # on the Tenere seat bumpers, then look up any one of the Star cruisers seat bumpers. When you find one with a different part #, order some.

The seat mod was easy when you have the proper (lower) bumpers. I did mine, but put it back again. I sit up straighter without the mod than I did with the mod. I started slumping over....
