If you *had* to ride a different bike, what would you pick?

Uh, "had" to ride... I do ride other bikes. 84 standard wing, 2015 wing, 2001 CBR 1100XX Super Black Bird, 2007 ST1300A, being restored. Bike done...(77 BMW R100 and hack). It's just what appeals to me or if my wife or kids will be going along.

Also this.
Check out this 1200 hi speed Explorer crash. A guy just set a 24 hour endurance record on this same stock 1200 explorer. I've had headshake on many bikes over my 53 years riding. In the 70's we ran a lot of hot 2 stroke street bikes and MANY open class 2 stroke dirtbikes and saw a lot of white knuckle head shake. I think it's usually tire and wheel related. But under the right conditions. If you hit even small stutter bumps at speed under acceleration. Especially leaning over. It can happen. I've had it happen making the same run that Id made many times with the same bikes. Them days are gone. https://www.tiktok.com/@jatinhavisto1/video/7228187662157466886?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=725702 Under6261321 614894

I also think about Versys 1000. I am currently selling my S10 and if I succeed, then Kawa is going to be my new ride.
I did ride FJR1300 for 10 years and have to say that the riding position is far too much cramped compared to S10 and Versys, so for longer trips it is not really a good alterantive in terms of ergos, legs/knees/hips are much more bent, the handlebar position also not very comfy. And yes, I did have custom saddle, helibars risers and all those mods installed, but still the riding position can not be compared to S10 or Versys.

Excellent video, to show that in an adventure, the aerodynamics, more “maybe”, the 21” wheel, more “maybe” the luggage, everything will contribute to the wobble at high speeds….and to that I would add the lack of “ "touch", from the pilot...you can see when the wobble started, why did he continue accelerating?, why he dont push rear brake in that momment?...when he released the accelerator (out of fear), it was already irreversible

Goldwing...truth is, my wife is pushing hard for me to add a Goldwing to the fleet. Fortunately I really like the new style of wing and suspect I'll fulfill her request next year.

Oh the sacrifices I make for her.

I think it is a case of not enough weight on the front wheel to keep it planted. Either through aerodynamics, weight transfer, etc. You ever get a shopping cart with one front wheel slightly lifted off the ground because the cart is tweaked, and it does that shimmy?

Here, there is a guitarist, who likes motorcycles, and of course playing the guitar. It's a shame the lyrics are in Spanish...but it talks about speed, wings on his feet, and a roaring exhaust...it makes he feel good…:)

I'd like my 08 1200 GS back, and add a mcruise unit. I still have my spare final drive and driveshaft on the shelf. The internet paranoia got to me, and it seems like whenever i have a spare part I never need it lol...
I also really liked the Versys 1000 I test rode.
