I am considering Yoshi,2 Brother ,Arrow and others.
I want something with a deeper growl tone louder but not obnoxious loud.
Any recommendations?
Also if I do this change will the engine run the same or do I need to change engine maps or something?

Akrapovic. You get the growl without the drone or rasp. Even with full arrow headers. You do not need a map for just adding a pipe. You can take advantage of the pipe more with a tune or flash. You will need a tune with headers + a pipe.

My kid put a complete Two Brother's system, and a flash, on his R6. Cost him $1,500ish. I don't know how the R6 cost compares to a Tenere, but he loves his. I, personally, think it's obnoxious as hell. ::)

Ya the 2 brothers is too loud. It's now off the list.
The Acropovic sounds great but is it worth twice the price of the Yoshi?

Are you asking about just the muffler or the headers and muffler. "Exhaust" is too generic. Replacing just the muffler won't require a flash. Arrow headers and a free breathing muffler will need a flash to get things dialed. I have the Yoshimura RS4. It settled down to a real nice sound. I didn't enjoy the noise for the first little while, then the packing settled and it changed into a sweet rumble. I thought I'd read that Arrow had suspended the manufacture of the Ténéré headers, I hope not.

My friend has a Arrows full system and with the db Killer out, it is too loud. Neighbour are not going to be happy.

I am on Akra, not loud, just nice, and good for long distance because you hear the nice rumble. (No wind noise due to good windshield-spoiler setup). The Akra's has no db killers, so if you want louder, you have no options. Youtube clips doesn't do justice to Akra. You have to hear it in person. I heard it in person and went to order one. If you keep the bike for long term, then it is worth installing it.

I set my CO settings to +8 with Akra and BMC air filter. Added in NGK Platinum plugs, and this bike is totally different than stock. Never use S-mode, as T wasn't lame anymore.

Cut then end off my standard silencer, removed a piece of pipe then welded the end back on again - sounds great, no "rasping", just a deeper throatier exhaust note and not too loud.

I put a two brothers slip on muffler on my 2012. I did no tuning at all for it. I don't think it is very loud at all. It can get to a good snarl it you are hard on the gas and high in the RPM'S but just cruising light on the throttle it is very nice. Even on the interstate I have no issues with it being too loud. That is just me though. I have 40'000 miles on it and I definitely don't want the stock muffler back at all. The bike sounds like a Japanese cruiser now but I thought it sounded like a riding law mower with the stock muffler.

Thanks for all the input guys.
I am thinking just a muffler swap not a full header set up.
What do you guys think of the LeoVince muffler?
Nice sound on Youtube and reasonable price about the same as Yoshi.
