I organise tours for some clubs here in the Uk to take troops to Germany (non profit).

I start the run from Edinburgh and work my way down to Dover meeting bikers on way staying overnight before ferry over to Calais. I was wondering if I was to put a run together maybe for next year for the S10 owners would anyone be seriously interested ?

This is just to ask and see how it falls as I have Dutch friends who own a fantastic biker hotel near Nurburgring, Mossel valley and Cochem. I can sort B&B for 35 euros and could maybe have the Euro owners come and meet us for a bike meet up ? I took 23 bikers there 4 weeks ago but it can hold around 65 so plenty room for a big meet if you guys wanna come play on the fab roads there ?

Just an offer as I said as would look to start the run up of this towards end of the year.

I have done 7 tours there so far and still have 2 more to do this year alone ::013::

I'd be interested work permitting, i hit that area a couple of times a year some really good quiet roads around there. I normally make for luxembourg to use as a base and take the twisties via bouillon to miss out the M-way. Lovely area for riding. I live 30 mins from the ferry/tunnel as well.

Thanks for the list. I'd be tentatively interested. A bit too much of road work for my liking, but register my interest for now please. Thanks

Would be interested, but we used a lot of holiday allowance (and cash) for our wedding this year, may well be able to do 1/2 the trip by taking a Monday / Tuesday or Thursday / Friday off work, but no chance of an entire week.

Not sure yet, I know I want to go to Austria and the Dolomites and will probably grab two nights in my favourite Black Forest Hotel most likely on the way back, bu tpossibly on he way in.

Thinking of June as I have always been in August / September so would not mind seeing a bit more snow, bu tit depends on work as my contract is due to end next July so I want to wait until nearer the time to see what the work situation looks like.

Well if we get our dates right a brew in the Alps would be good. I'm going to drag the lads over the boarder and down the Stelvio. Should be a good do.

A run over the Stelvio is in my provisional plan, I intend to cover a few key locations.

I went to Andermatt in 2010 and did the loop, but it was a very dull day, quite wet and the Grimsel was so foggy we were doing about 10mph for much of it, so I intend to stop there for two nights and try again.

We also want to visit the Dolomites and Austria, this allows us to run over the Stelvio (did the Umrail up and West Stelvio ramp down in 2010) and cover the Gavia Pass and Timmelsjoch Pass which are high on my to do list - all enroute to the key locations which is a few nights in the Dolomites and some time in Austria to cover the Grossglockner and other top Asutrian passes.

Not sure which order yet and I will need a night on the way out and back, provisional thinking was Troyes outbound (Fantastic city) and then on to Andermatt - Bormio - Dolomites - Austria with a return stop in the Black Forest (a couple of nights with an off-bike day trip to the Spa's at Baden)

The Stelvio was fantastic last time, a nice bit of snow fell the night before from 2500M upwards, we went up mid (Via Umbrail) afternoon missing most the tourist traffic, and then by the time we came back down the coaches and worst of tourist traffic had already left.
