I think I have had it with Dealers

I've gotten to the point where I treat dealerships like doctors; if one of them tells me I need something major done, I start searching for a second opinion. I was recently told I needed a new CV joint and new struts on a Camry by my dealership, and was quoted the outrageous price in the neighborhood of $1400.00. I got a phone quote from Monroe that was about $300.00 less than the dealership's for the struts, and after an examination by another garage in town, was told that neither the CV joint nor the struts needed replaced any time in the immediate future. It's a safe bet that, when those items do need replaced, the dealership isn't going to see a dime from me.

I may just replace the damn struts myself. I definitely miss the days of shocks and coil springs, though.
