Major progress.

Turn signal flasher doesn't work and left turn switch is messed up.

EVERYTHING else seems to work well.

Found a virgin front fender. New rubber. Redoing the seat. Pan was pretty rough. Head gasket was leaking. Upside down. Got the turn signals working. The best part- looks like I will have a tag on it in a couple of weeks.

Going to ride it next weekend in the woods with my 9 year old son. After that, I think I'm going all in with paint work. It may never see dirt again. Still undecided.

Jetting is ok. It's fat on the pilot and I swear I heard a ping at the upper limits. Ordered some jets to try and sort that. The pile of jets I have appear to be a tad on the modern side...

The think is slow, heavy, the brakes suck, the suspension is a joke, etc.

But, you know what? It's awesome.

Other than the new clutch cable being a piece if crap, the bike was great in the woods.

Great pictures. Looks like awesome family time.

Hope you wife is not lured by the temptation of the mud hole the way mine was. That was a good hour of my life getting her back out.

Looks like she needs some Depends.
I still haven't figured out how that happens. If you wash it, the flywheel cover fills up with water and holds it quite well.

cool. I need a project bike for the winter. Something not too crusty, but enough to get it cleaned up and running. Maybe I'll take one of my kids bikes apart. :D
I have a klr 250 that needs some forks seals and such.
