Always wanted one of these. This exact one, actually. Dig the green.

Not sure what my intentions are, yet.

Excited for you though a bit jealous. My first new bike was a 1972 Yamaha DT2 250. Bought it in Okinawa and should have brought it home.

What year was the Green with Fork Brace and High Fender? Hopefully you maintain a thread about this project.

Well, ups man didn't make it due to the weather. I loaned my flywheel puller out and never got it back. Had to order a new one.

At this point, all I can find that is keeping it from running is the condenser.

All of the lights and switches work.

The coil is charging and the points are breaking on time.

Bolts falling out of the rear sprocket. Tabs not bent over far enough. Scary.

Might be lucky enough to get it running on Monday night.

Transmission is clean and the oil is new. Piston looks good too. Hopefully the crank seals are ok. Fork seals seem fine.

Well, I'm not even 40, yet. But, I agree. I don't care for overweight, complex, marginally powerful dirt bikes. I've owned a wr450f and it sucked. Give me a Yz, any day

So ups sends an email that it's to be delivered today but it's a holiday... On the upside, I have 2 brand new oem condensers in my possession. Still pissed about the flywheel puller. Try and help somebody out...

Got some encouraging news on paint and various parts today. I think I might sell my ktm 200 and put it all into this old gal. I don't like ktm. It's got no soul.
