Went out for a ride yesterday after it seems like months of rain. I must say, with the mods I have done to this bike, it will be hard to beat as far as smooth comfort, speed and just total In Your Face riding is concerned. The 2014 cct has no rattle whatsoever and now allows me to listen to other noises that might exist. The dakar eo7 tires have proven to be absolutely bulletproof and grip like lovebites. Overall the 2014 and up will really have their work cut out to ride better than this ole 2012. Just wanted to say this is one of the best bikes I have owned. Anyone looking for a tricked out 2007 streetglide ?

I feel the same way. I came off of a 2006 Street Glide a few years ago and when I tell people this is the best bike I have ever owned, they can't believe it.

After the torrential rainfall down here in Texas, the drought is over (7 years?) and today is absolutely gorgeous.

Like you, I jumped on my heavily personalized Tenere today. It's as close to motorcycle perfection FOR ME as I have ever ridden......in 50 years of 2-wheeling.
The thing still just stuns me, after close to 4 years of riding it.

2012 (actually 2011) was a good year for me. :)

Nassau is on I45 south. You'll pass right by Hobby.
You should go to that meeting on a Texas Tenere.

I installed the '14 basket right after the Arkansas meet. Night and day.

This bike is a truly special machine. My personalized ST has the 14 basket, manual CCT, full suspension upgrade, Rumbux, ecu flash, etc, and is dressed and outfitted for solo romps in the back country.

It is very satisfying to ride such a capable, tough, and competent motorcycle like this. The satisfaction of knowing I am riding the toughest and most reliable dual sport bike made today is rekindled every time I swing a leg over it and push the starter button.

Every night I go out to the garage and admire it. I think the ST looks absolutely fantastic, and though most motorcyclists don't have much of a clue about it, we here know what we have, and can really enjoy a small slice of heaven when we ride.

Agreed. It's been many, many years and several motorcycles since I've been as satisfied as I am with my '14 ES. Not quite so sure about the looks -- I think I preferred the looks of the FJR I traded on my Ténéré -- but I can't see much of it when I'm riding it. Function is king, and this bike rocks!

Dirt Mom and I have each ridden 4500 miles over the last 13 days and have almost 2K more to go before we're done with this ride. So far we have encountered nearly every road condition you could navigate on pavement. The Teneres have performed flawlessly. The Traction Control has been put to the test in ways I never anticipated or desired. With Wyoming speed limits being 80 MPH, they have done many hours with 90 MPH indicated on the speedo, occasionally a bit higher. Again flawless.

Okay, we did suffer a blown headlight, but I had a spare one ready to go. Otherwise, no mechanical issues.

It's an understatement to say I love this bike. What else could I ask a bike to do?
